Robert Delfs

Robert Delfs is a seasoned software engineer and the current manager of the AI-powered simulation training platform at ASTEC. His software runs in over a million vehicles, encompassing both conventional and autonomous systems. Robert has developed software for more than 30 high-tech ventures, has taught web and mobile software development to three student cohorts, and led a team of engineers in the rigorous verification and validation of the world's first driver-out semi-truck. He holds dual BSBA degrees in Computer Information Systems and Finance from Northern Arizona University. Passionate about the transformative power of technology, Robert was honored as TIME Person of the Year in 2006.
