Mari John, MBA

Mari earned her BS in public administration from the University of Arizona and started her career in non-profit management. She developed partnerships and maintained contracts with over 100 Tucson business partners, generating $1.5 million in annual revenue. After returning to the university to earn her MBA in 2015, Mari joined the Student Unions team to oversee business development, contracts, and several retail operations. For the last quarter of her nearly ten-year tenure, Mari added marketing to her management portfolio and was responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing plans for three auxiliary service units: Campus Store, Student Unions, and Parking & Transportation Services. Mari now serves as the Administrative Operations Specialist for ASTEC and is responsible for a variety of administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the center and works to ensure its efficiency and effectiveness.
