Tara Burke-Alexander, MS

Tara received her BS in chemical engineering and MS in biomedical engineering from the University of Arizona.  She worked for the University Medical Center Artificial Heart program for ten years managing patients on multiple artificial heart devices before joining the medical device industry where she was part of both small and large companies. At those companies she was involved in cardiac therapies. Tara is now a simulation operations specialist at the Arizona Simulation Technology & Education Center (ASTEC) where she manages the execution of simulation scenarios, task-based training, and the management of ASTEC’s medical equipment inventory.
