ASTEC Attendee, Instructor, and Visitor Information

ASTEC requests that all attendees, instructors, and visitors note the following information when visiting or attending training at the lab:

  • If directed, check in at front desk prior to entry.
  • Unscheduled guests may be denied access.
  • Limit number of personal items.
    • Public lockers are available, but space is limited.
    • Personal belongings, including food and beverage, are not permitted inside the lab.
  • Exit ASTEC as soon as training is complete.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • ASTEC expects everyone to adhere to the ASTEC Lab User Agreement, the UArizona Code of Academic Conduct and/or the Student Code of Conduct.

  • ASTEC is located in the Health Sciences Innovation Building (HSIB). In the case of a fire alarm activation, HSIB is evacuated on a floor-by-floor basis, meaning:
    • In a typical scenario, fire alarms will chime on the fire floor and the floors immediately above and below it.
    • Occupants should evacuate to the next lowest floor level (2 floors). If this level is in alarm, continue to the ground floor and exit the building.
    • More information on the HSIB fire alarm policy can be found here. A map of ASTEC's three exit points can be found here.
