Information About Our Volunteer Program
The Health Sciences Volunteer Program (HSVP) was designed to be a longitudinal training program within the Arizona Simulation Technology & Education Center (ASTEC). The first semester introduces volunteers to the equipment and standard operations of ASTEC. Volunteers receive additional training as they continue with the HSVP. ASTEC volunteers should plan on a minimum commitment of 1.5 hours per week.
Volunteer Schedule:
Semester 1: Equipment Inventory, Training Observation, Lab Chores, 2+ Skills Training Sessions (This will be a weekly commitment ~1.5 hours/week)
Semesters 2-3: Mannequin Operation, Training Facilitation, Resetting Lab, Literature Reviews
Semesters 3+: Opportunities for research/teaching experience (This will be determined on an individual basis)
Application Process:

Application opens on the ASTEC website within the first month of each semester
In-Person Interview
Interview invitations will be sent based on initial review of online applications
Acceptance Email
Acceptance emails will be sent to the most qualified interviewees
