Ricardo Alexander Martinez

Ricardo is earning his bachelor's degree in Information Science and Technology with an emphasis in Data Science. At ASTEC, he applies his curiosity for the intersection of technology, brain function, and learning capacities and dedicates his time to conducting research, engaging in creative problem-solving, and collaborating on innovative projects with his peers. He has a passion for understanding the mechanisms of machine learning algorithms and applying theory. Beyond ASTEC, Ricardo has also designed and built an e-chess board from scratch, programmed more than ten computer games, and developed TARS - a human-like, realistic conversational agent that won first place in the Fall 2023 iShowcase.
